The founders of the Society created this organization, not for profit, but exclusively for educational and other charitable purposes. Specifically, the Society seeks to:
PROMOTE
Promote the acquisition of knowledge concerning the history of the Judicial Branch of our state’s government.
AQUIRE
Acquire, through gift, loan, or purchase, when funds are available, documents, or other objects of historical significance relating to the Judicial Branch.
KNOWLEDGE
Make the knowledge, objects and materials acquired available to scholars, historians and the public.
OPPORTUNITY
Disseminate the knowledge of, and provide opportunity for research into, such historic, scientific, literary and other documents, records, objects and memorabilia of, or relating specifically to, the Supreme Court of North Carolina, its place in the state’s history, and its place in our nation’s history.
